Full course description
25 & 26 May 2024
10am - 4pm
Day 1: Reid Building, GSA, Glasgow
Day 2: Good Press, Glasgow
In this two day workshop you will be introduced to artist-led publishing practices and situated forms of publishing, and become familiar with the structures, activities and processes involved. Through a series of practical exercises, participants will produce their own publications of the work made during the weekend. These will be duplicated using a Risograph printer and gathered together to form a collective publication. Day 1 will take place at Glasgow School of Art and include a short walking workshop, as well as exercises on writing in/with your material and analogue approaches to page layouts. Day two will be at the bookshop Good Press, where you will learn about the Risograph printing process and make your own publications.
